Get ready for a new era of country music as the award-winning American duo, DAN + SHAY, kicks it all off with the arrival of their new album “Young.” Sharing two songs, “Say So” and the title track, ahead of the new record’s official release, fans have been itching to get their hands on more of their new material. Showing plenty of promise, this summer’s bound to get wild as the album marks its full release on August 21st. 

For the tour, the band will see support from fellow country hitmakers, Tyler Hubbard and Josh Ross. 

NEW MUSIC COMING OUT

Well, this tour is all about “Young,” and the duo is set to live it up on the road. Recently debuting “Say So” live on stage at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, they really showed that they’re deserving of the ‘Duo of the Year’ nomination bid. As the fellas behind the Grammy Award-winning tracks “Tequila,” “Speechless,” and “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber, they’ve earned a reputation for country music anthems that hit right home. Pouring their hearts out in every record, these hitmakers have been making it big since 2013.

“Young” marks their seventh album release, following 2024’s “It's Officially Christmas: The Double Album.” In an official release about their upcoming project, “Young is by far our most personal album yet, and we are beyond excited for our fans to hear it,” says Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney. “Every song is inspired by a true story, and gives a real-time snapshot of exactly where we are in our lives.”

In an exclusive feature by PEOPLE, the pair shares that their upcoming record is one of their most vulnerable and personal work yet. “Say So” touches on mental health, and allows them to open up about their struggles with anxiety and therapy. 

“For the last few years, or our last couple tours, I've dealt with a lot of anxiety and imposter syndrome and stage fright. I think being so honest and real with this album, it's allowed me to minimize the gap between who I am onstage and who I am offstage.”

As they hit the road for the headlining tour in support of “Young,” Dan and Shay are all about authenticity. Coming a long way since their debut era with “19 You + Me,” they’re looking forward to sharing their growth, fueled by new perspectives they gained through highs and lows in their career.
