To ensure the safety of all patrons and guests, Jones Beach Theater has created the following code of conduct and policy guidelines. Please review and follow the rules and policies below as failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund. 

Before you go to a Jones Beach Theater concert, please be sure you’re informed about the venue rules. These rules are subject to change without notice, so you should check directly with the theater if you have any queries. Remember that you’re sharing a great experience, so be nice to your fellow concert-goers. Everyone will have more fun at Jones Beach Theater when they’re abiding by these rules!

Please note that all bags are subject to search at the entrance gates. You’re entitled to refuse a bag search, but Jones Beach Theater also has the right to refuse entry. If you’re in possession of any prohibited items, please return them to your vehicle.

Please dress appropriately for a concert venue. Although it’s on the water, and despite it’s name you should not expect to enter barefoot or in beach wear.

Accessibility Policy

Jones Beach Theater is proud to provide reasonable ADA-compliant assistance to guests in need. The accommodations available include the following.

  • Handicap accessible seating is available throughout the venue at all levels. Please call 516-221-1000 for help with finding the best seating for your needs.
  • Interpreter services are available if you call no later than two weeks before your scheduled ticketed event.Listening devices are available if you call no later than two days before your scheduled ticketed event

Arrival Policy

For concerts and certain special events, late arrivals may be asked to wait until an appropriate break period arrives before being allowed entry. To avoid frustrations, please arrive no later than 30 minutes before an event’s start time.

Bag Policy

Large bags should not be brought to the venue or must be left in guest vehicles. All bags are subject to search by event staff.

Camera Policy

Flash photography, video or audio recording devices, and professional cameras with detachable lenses are strictly prohibited for all performances. Standard or nonprofessional cameras are only allowed if both the venue and artist provides public authorization and will be noted in the program guide or description.

Cancellation Policy

The venue is proud of hosting events rain or shine. In the case of severe weather or unexpected closures, the venue will attempt to announce it to all guests as soon as possible. If your show is canceled, please call 516-221-1000 to discuss potential refunds.

Children Policy

If the event is deemed suitable, children under 2 years are allowed into the amphitheater free of charge, but they must sit on your lap.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and children over 2 must have a ticket.

Strollers aren’t allowed in the theater because it has no storage space for them. Please be considerate of other concert-goers and ensure your children behave responsibly.

Food and Beverage Policy

You’re allowed to bring some food items with you, but they must be packed in a clear, 1-gallon or smaller ziplock bag.

Each person is also permitted 1 factory-sealed bottle of water, up to 1 liter in size. You may also bring an empty plastic bottle to fill at a water fountain.

You can find refreshments by ordering food or drinks from the onsite vendors and cafes. 

Lost and Found 

Lost something at the show? Then please contact the event staff for help to see if anything was turned in to lost and found. Inquiries after the event can be made to 516-221-1000.

Please leave a message with your full contact information and detailed information about your lost item, and you will be contacted if your item is found. 

Pet Policy

Guide dogs or service animals are allowed, but no other animals.

Prohibited Items

To keep guests and staff safe, Jones Beach Theater prohibits the following items from the venue.

  • Outside Food and drink
  • Ice/Coolers 
  • Animals/Pets (except working animals) 
  • Backpacks/Duffle Bags/Large Purses 
  • Cameras/GoPros/Selfie Sticks 
  • Video and recording equipment 
  • Laser Pens 
  • Bikes/Rollerblades/Skateboards 
  • Illegal substances 
  • Glass of any kind 
  • Weapons, Knives, Fireworks 
  • Grills or cooking equipment 
  • Any item deemed dangerous or inappropriate 

The venue reserves the right to prohibit other items

Re-Entry Policy 

Once you have entered the gated area of the venue, no re-entry is allowed. 

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in the venue. Please contact the event staff to ask if your ticketed event has a designated smoking area.

Tailgating Policy

There is no tailgating, overnight parking or camping allowed at the Jones Beach Theater.

Viewing Policy

You may bring binoculars with you, and a small umbrella, but not large golf-type umbrellas.
