Counting Crows blasted onto the scene with their debut album, "August and Everything After," towards the end of 1993. It featured the hits Mr. Jones" and "Round Here" and established the band as one of the leading alternative rock acts of the 1990s. Receiving critical acclaim from fans and reviewers, that album went on to sell 7 million copies in the US alone.
They've subsequently released several more albums, including Recovering the Satellites and This Desert Life, and have continued to tour and perform to this day, cementing their place in the pantheon of influential rock bands.
With albums like The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most and A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar, Dashboard Confessional gained a devoted fan base in the early 2000s with their emotionally charged lyrics and acoustic sound. Even though they split up in 2010, the band has since reunited and released new music, demonstrating their enduring influence on the emo and alternative rock scenes.
